Starting in 2019, I have been working on converting an abandoned gas go-kart into a new electric go-kart for UCF's mascot, Knightro, to ride on. I created schematics for the new electronics and metal fabrication required for the project. I am still maintaining the go-kart and performing upgrades as of 2023.
- Installed dual 500W DC motors.
- Designed and fabricated additional steel frame for rear platform.
- Configured primary and auxiliary battery systems.
- Top speed is 30mph with driver and passenger.
- Programmed custom musical horn.
- Water-resistant design for outdoor use.
- Worked with local Police Department and UCF to ensure compliance.
